The Vatican City, often called the Holy See, has the smallest population worldwide with only 510 inhabitants. This is also the smallest country in the world by size. The Pacific islands Tuvalu, Nauru, and Palau followed in the next three positions. On the other hand, China is the most populated country in the world with over 1.4 billion inhabitants.
