According to a 2024 survey, WhatsApp users in Brazil had an almost equal gender distribution, with women accounting for 52 percent of the total instant messaging app users in the country, and men accounting for 48 percent. WhatsApp was the most used and favorite social media app in Brazil, reaching around 93.4 percent of the country's internet users.
