A quarter of French people registered to vote chose a far-right candidate in their electoral district for the 2022 parliamentary election. The citizens most supportive of the National Rally and Reconquête ! candidates were those between the ages of 35 and 59. In the first round of the April 2022 presidential elections, Marine Le Pen received 23.2 percent of the vote, the highest score ever recorded by the National Rally in a presidential election since its creation.
