As of the third quarter of 2023, the electricity distribution company in Ikeja, in Nigeria, received over 57 billion Nigerian naira (NGN) (roughly 64 million U.S. dollars) in revenue. This was against a total billing of 58.4 billion NGN. Moreover, Eko and Abuja contributed some 44 billion NGN and 41 billion NGN to the total electricity revenue, respectively. Overall, the Nigerian electricity companies registered an electricity income of approximately 268 billion NGN in the said quarter.
