In the first half of 2022, European Union issued the highest value of green bonds, amounting to 11.8 billion U.S. dollars. While the Chinese bank Bank of China came in second at 8.13 billion U.S. dollars. Among the leading ten issuers worldwide, China Three Gorges Corporation issued the lowest amount, with approximately 2.7 billion U.S. dollars worth of green bonds.
