In 2021, the Spanish low-cost airline Vueling reported revenue to the amount of one billion euros, down from a revenue of over 2.4 billion euros in 2019. The large decrease in revenue is due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, which resulted in the grounding and lowered operation of passenger planes in 2020.
