According to recent data, around 7.3 million Italians were working from home as of April 2021, corresponding to 31.6 percent of the total working population in Italy. A survey published in the same month found out the most popular reasons why the majority of Italians was not working from home. For 35.2 percent of the respondents, this was simply because their work needed to be carried out on site. Moreover, another 10.6 percent of the respondents declared to prefer working on site, even if the option to WFH was available.
