Consumers avoiding stores due to social distancing guidelines 2021
Although restrictions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have become less strict in most countries, a significant share of consumers tends to avoid brick and mortar stores. According to a poll from February 2021, people having the habit of specifically avoiding public interactions and/or adhering to social distancing guidelines were 48 percent in Great Britain, and 44 percent in Denmark. Polish and French consumers seemed the least concerned, as only 25 percent of the surveyed respondents still avoided physical stores because of the pandemic.
