The majority of U.S. Netflix users stated in an April 2023 survey that it is very or somewhat likely that they will cancel their subscription if the streaming provider begins charging extra for account sharing. Only 30 percent said that they were not likely at all to terminate their contract. In the same month, Netflix announced to roll out paid sharing plans in the U.S. in the second quarter of the year. The streaming giant already launched this feature in several Latin American countries, as well as in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, and Spain.
