Share of non-face-to-face payments South Korea Q1 2020-Q2 2022
In the second quarter of 2022, around 40.7 percent of total payments in South Korea were made non-face-to-face, slightly down from about 41 percent in the same quarter of the previous year. Face-to-face payments declined after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, but then increased slightly due to easing restrictions on social distancing.
