The Women's Triple Jump was first introduced as an Olympic event in 2000 (while it has been present as a men's event since 1896). In these six tournaments, Cameroon's Françoise Mbango Etone has won two gold medals, making her the most successful athlete in the event. Athletes from Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine have won three medals in total. In 2016 and 2017, separate retests showed that Greece's Hrysopiyí Devetzí and Russia's Tatyana Lebedeva had both tested positive for performance enhancing drugs, and both athletes were stripped of their 2008 medals. The 2008 medals were then redistributed accordingly, however Devetzí's previous silver, and Lebedeva's previous silver and bronze medals remain unaffected.

This data was collected using the official Olympic.org site, as well as a spreadsheet from the Guardian that includes data from 1896-2008 (available here), 2012 and 2016 data was compared with that from Encyclopaedia Britannica, and several news outlets were used to update the table when medals were reassigned (i.e. for doping offenses).
