Lendlease Group's revenue FY 2015-2024

Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, Lendlease is a multinational company that specializes in the construction and management of property and infrastructure projects. In the 2024 financial year, Lendlease Group Limited reported a total revenue of around 9.2 billion Australian dollars, marking a decline from the previous year. 

Lendlease’s capabilities

In 2018, Lendlease was ranked among the leading construction companies based on market capitalization worldwide. Aside from being a dominant force in the Australian construction industry, the company has a presence in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The company has its focus on urbanization projects and has a robust retirement and community project business line. Lendlease’s urbanization project pipeline alone has tripled in the past five years to amount to over 80 billion Australian dollars.

Construction industry activity

While the Australian construction industry has enjoyed steady growth in the past, the current economic strain triggered by the coronavirus pandemic has slowed activity in this industry significantly. While most construction sites in the country are still operating, many residential as well as large construction projects are being put on hold, affecting the thousands of workers in this industry. In response, the Australian Federal Government announced two economic packages that will support the construction industry. Included are wage subsidies for apprentices, and wage support measures for small and medium-sized businesses. Recent figures showed that the construction industry had the highest number of apprentices out of all industries across the country.
