In financial year 2021, group business health insurances had a market share of 48 percent in terms of gross premium. Individual or retail business class remained stable at a market share of 44 percent and the share of government business slightly decreased to over seven percent.
In terms of number of lives covered, government business had a market share of 66 percent in financial year 2021, whereas group business amounted for only 23 percent.
