As of April 2020, Russian hospitals had 28 ventilators and 40 infectious diseases beds per 100,000 population. In Moscow, the number of epidemiologists and specialists in infectious diseases was higher than on average across the country. These indicators were considered in assessing the capability of the health system to deal with the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Russia.
