According to a survey carried out in Chile on March 2020, 95 percent of respondents agreed with closing malls, restaurants, bars and cinemas as an appropriate measure to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), which causes the COVID-19. In addition, 92 percent were in accordance with establishing sanitary cordons in some districts. According to a similar survey, 51 percent of Chilean respondents said the country is little or not at all prepared to protect the population against COVID-19.
