In 2022, it was estimated that nearly 38 percent of women in Mexico lacked access to health services and were regarded as socially vulnerable for that reason. The rate of social vulnerability due to lack of health care among men almost reached 41 percent, the highest observed during the period analyzed. Most people in Mexico are insured in the public health system.
