Mexico City was the Mexican federal entity which received the highest volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2023, amounting to more than 11.2 billion U.S. dollars. Sonora and Nuevo León followed in the ranking, with investments of over 2.7 and 2.5 billion dollars, respectively.
