Džon Grirson CBE (26. april 1898 – 19. februar 1972) bio je škotski filmadžija. Često se navodi kao otac britanskog i kanadskog dokumentarnog filma. Grirson je osmislio termin dokumentarac (documentary) 1926. godine tokom pisanja članka o dokumentarnom filmu Moana Roberta Flaertija.
