WATCH: Go inside Julianne Moore's house, the As the World Turns alum's peaceful NYC abode

Posted Thursday, March 19, 2020 11:20:52 AM

Take a video tour of the New York City townhouse that Julianne Moore (ex-Frannie and Sabrina Hughes, As the World Turns) calls home with her husband, Bart Freundlich, and their kids, Caleb and Liv.

Julianne Moore has gone on to superstardom since her 1980s stint on As the World Turns, where she played twins Frannie and Sabrina Hughes. With major movies like Boogie Nights and Nine Months under her belt, you'd think that she'd have an opulent, sprawling mansion to call home. But instead, she lives in a fairly modest and comfy townhouse in New York City.

In a video interview with Architectural Digest, Moore explains that the property used to be a rooming house back in the day, and rumor has it, novelist James Baldwin used to live there. Now it's home to her family -- as well as home to several special pieces of art and gifts that came from family and friends, including a crystal globe from her husband, Bart, and a turtle shell that she was given in Japan.

Moore also shows off a wax baby art piece that she loves, as well as her Nakashima coffee table, which was one of the first major furniture purchases she ever made.

Check out the virtual tour of Moore's NYC townhouse below and let us know what you think in the Comments section at the end of the article.

Moore played the roles of ATWT's Frannie and Sabrina Hughes from 1986 to 1988 before going on to become a major Hollywood star. Throughout her career, the actress has continued to be very vocal about her appreciation for having been a part of the soap opera genre, even returning to ATWT for a brief appearance before the CBS soap went off the air in 2010.

Moore isn't the only ATWT alum that opened her door to Architectural Digest. Hollywood star Meg Ryan, who got her start playing Betsy Stewart on the CBS soap opera, also invited the publication's cameras into her home. Unfortunately, Ryan doesn't personally appear in the video, as it's just a series of photos of her stunning New York City loft. But it's entertaining all the same! Check it out below and let us know what you think.
