When Chloe Sullivan asked Zan and Jayna about them living on the streets, Zan cryptically responded that nobody was really buying that he and Jayna were exchange students from Sweden.[1]

After Chloe Sullivan vanished, Oliver Queen did a global digital search for Chloe. One of the places that he searched was Scandinavia, but there were no records of Chloe Sullivan in any of those countries (or anywhere else).[3]

- Jimmy Olsen was a big fan of Swedish band ABBA.[4] He also drove a Volvo.[5][6] Given their last name, his family is likely of Scandinavian descent.
- Given her last name, Jessica Holm might also be of Scandinavian heritage.[7]
- Zan's line in Idol is a reference to the Super Friends comic, were the Wonder Twins (two aliens) pretend to be transfer students from Sweden in order to assimilate into a normal life among humans. However, in Titans, Zan and Jayna are established as being just two metahuman teenagers, who were thrown out by their father (after he learned about their powers).[2] The country in the flashback is not identified. However, there is no conceivable reason why two American kids would pretend to be exchange students from another country, making it likely that the country in the flashback is in fact Sweden (and that Zan and Jayna tried to use "exchange students" as a cover to explain away their presence in a foreign country). In turn, that would be evidence that there are metahumans in Sweden. In Guardian, Oliver Queen describes the proto-League/Watchtower organization (which leads to the creation of the formal Justice League and the Teen Titans) as an "international league of heroes",[8] indicating that some of the people involved hails from a different country than the United States.
- It is unknown if Kent Nelson was the son of a Swedish archeologist (which would make him a Swedish citizen), like he is in the comics. According to Kent Nelson, he did not remember his life before Doctor Fate.[9]

Kent Nelson, the original Doctor Fate, is the son of a Swedish archeologist named Dr. Sven Nelson (and an American woman named Celestine Babcock).
Batman #65 (June, 1951) introduced Swedish vigilante Wingman (Benedict Rundstrom), who was inspired by Batman (and went to Gotham City to be trained by the Dark Knight).
Other DC Comics characters from Sweden include Blackhawks member Olaf Bjornson, the Doom Patrol villain Animal-Vegetable-Mineral Man (Sven Larson), and Sigourney Amundsen (a member of the undersea explorers Sea Devils).
