Dick Grayson

Richard "Dick" Grayson is the son of circus acrobats and the boyfriend of Barbara Gordon. After Barbara became a Blue Lantern, she made arrangements for Dick to replace her as Batman's partner.

The son of circus acrobats. By 2012, Dick was in a relationship with Barbara Gordon. The relationship was problematic, as Barbara felt that his parents' circus took up too much of his time.

When she became a Blue Lantern, which required her to leave Earth, she sent Dick to Bruce Wayne, knowing that he needs someone like her.

In the comics, Dick Grayson is of Romani heritage. Based on the character design, the same might apply to the Smallville version.

Richard "Dick" Grayson was the original Robin. First appearing in Detective Comics #38 (April, 1940). Dick was the son of circus acrobats, who were murdered. The young Dick Grayson was taken in by Bruce Wayne (Batman) who trained him into becoming his sidekick and allowed the young boy to fight crime alongside him.

In the 1980's, DC decided to revamp the character. Dick gave up the Robin persona, which was assumed by Jason Todd, and became Nightwing. He moved to the city of Bludhaven, becoming a cop by day and costumed vigilante by night.
