Adam (born 2008)[1] is the son of the Daily Planet reporter Cat Grant.
Season Ten[]
Cat Grant (then Mary Louise Shroger) had Adam together with an abusive boyfriend. To protect Adam and herself, she sent Adam to temporarily live with her parents, while she changed her name to "Catherine 'Cat' Grant" and got settled into her new job in Metropolis.
Appearances[]
- Season Ten: Shield (Mentioned only), Isis (Mentioned only), Icarus (Mentioned only)
In the Comics[]
Adam Grant first appeared in Adventures of Superman #429 (June, 1987), as the son of Cat Grant and her ex-husband Joseph R. Morgan. Adam was a recurring character in the comics for a number of years. However, in Superman Vol 2 #84 (December, 1993), Adam was kidnapped and murdered by Toyman.
Notes[]
- Adam's last name is never established. As Cat Grant had, until recently, been named "Mary Louise Shroger", Adam's full name could be either "Adam Shroger" or "Adam Grant" (if Cat also changed his name, when she changed her own). A third possibility is that he has his father's last name.
- Adam only appears in a photograph.
- In the episode Shield, Cat talks with one of her parents on the phone, and mentions that she will not be able to come and pick up Adam (due to seemingly becoming a target of assassin Deadshot). It is unknown, but probable, if Cat brought her son to live with her after that.
