Mambo Michele Marie LeFleur (real name Baron Samedi) is a recurring character on Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She is portrayed by Skye Marshall.[1]
Mambo Marie is a voodoo priestess who is called to Greendale by Prudence Blackwood to aid the Church of Night in their battle with Phantasmagoria. After defeating the pagans, she joins the Order of Hecate and starts a relationship with Zelda Spellman.
Following her encounter with Lazarus, an emissary of The Returned, one of the Eldritch Terrors, Mambo Marie reveals her true identity to Zelda; Baron Samedi, vodou loa of the dead, and returns to the Realm of the Dead along with the resurrected people haunting Greendale. Before she goes, she brings Vinegar Tom back to life as a gift for Zelda with the promise that she'll wait for her on the other side.

A gorgeous voodoo priestess, Mambo Marie helps Prudence and Ambrose track down the villain Blackwood. But Mambo has her own secret agenda and passions, drawing her towards our coven—and Zelda.[1]

Physical Appearance[]
As Mambo Marie, she is a Haitian witch with glowing brown skin, brown eyes, and black hair. She dresses in accustom to her culture, often wearing karabela dress and head wraps. As Baron Samedi, he has dark skin with a skull painted on his face, brown eyes and black hair. He wears a three piece suit, a black top hat with skulls and beads around his neck.
Personality[]
Marie is friendly, wise and helpful. She is always happy to offer her help and has great respect for the Haitian voodoo faith. She does not think highly of the New Orleans Voodoo Hoodoo Magic. She is convinced that everyone deserves the guide and protection of a mèt-tèt, in general Marie is a very wise woman who doesn’t believe that woman/witches should fight each other.
Powers and Abilities[]
As Mambo Marie, she is a skilled voodoo priestess. She identifies Prudence as a witch with only a look. She helps Ambrose and Prudence track Faustus Blackwood down with a locator spell using a world map and Prudence's blood. Notably, she looks down on fake witchcraft, referring to New Orleans magic as "watered-down New Orleans vodou, hoodoo bullshit." As Baron Samedi, he was able to resurrect Vinegar Tom.

Zelda Spellman[]
Mambo Marie has a developing relationship with Zelda, who was initially reluctant to welcome her into the Academy upon the summoning of the hedge witches to defeat their pagan enemies. She didn't trust Mambo Marie as she was a Catholic and an outsider with different beliefs than their own. However, Zelda would come to learn that Mambo Marie was merely an ally and only wished to help the coven. After defeating the pagans, Zelda welcomed Mambo Marie into the Order of Hecate and they shared a kiss. When she told Zelda the truth about her identity, Zelda was upset and felt betrayed. However, before returning to the underworld, Marie left Vinegar Tom behind as a gift to Zelda and promised to be there for Zelda when it was her turn to cross over into the next life.

- Mambo Marie is not from the Archie Comics. She is a character introduced specifically for the series.
- In Part 4, Mambo Marie is revealed to be Baron Samedi, the loa of the dead in Haitian Vodou.
- In a deleted scene from the series finale, Zelda summoned Baron Samedi and asked the loa to resurrect Sabrina.[2]
