Ronaldinho regains FifPro crown
Barcelona's Brazilian playmaker Ronaldinho
Ronaldinho failed to reproduce his club form in the World Cup for Brazil
Barcelona's Ronaldinho has been named FifPro's player of the year for the second successive season.

Brazil playmaker Ronaldinho, 26, received the most nominations from the 43,000 players eligible to vote.

Ronaldinho played a key role in Barca's capture of the Champions League crown and Spanish title but failed to reproduce his form at the World Cup.

Chelsea's England captain John Terry and Arsenal striker Thierry Henry are both named in the FifPro World XI.

Four members of Italy's World Cup winning team are also named in the team.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, defender Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta, and midfielder Andrea Pirlo all make the line-up.

Despite his ignominious exit from the game for headbutting Marco Materazzi in the World Cup final, Zinedine Zidane was one of three France players voted into the side along with Henry and defender Lilian Thuram.

Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi won the Young FifPro Players' Player award and Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo won the Young Player Fan award.

Eto'o also picked up the FifPro Merit Award for his exceptional and positive contribution to football after speaking out against racism.
