Rail and bus services will run from the new interchange
|
Commuters in Hull and East Yorkshire can now use the new multi-million pound Paragon Interchange in the centre of the city.
There are 38 bus bays, four national coach stops and access to the railway station, under one roof.
The Victorian facade of the original Paragon station has been preserved in the development and a glass canopy has been added.
The temporary bus station on Albion Street will now close.
The new interchange has been designed with safety and security a priority.
Throughout the building there are CCTV cameras in operation and security staff on duty.
At each of the bus bays sliding glass doors will only open when the bus is ready to board.
Bike riders can securely store their machines and there are designated drop off points for cars and easier access for pedestrians.
