Synopsis
During World War II, an army of men who considered themselves the “racial elite” lead a campaign of terror across Europe – the SS. At the time, they believed the atrocities they committed were done for a noble reason – to defend Germany - and proved their absolute loyalty to Hitler. Seventy years later, some former SS members have denounced their behavior during the war, while others still believe their horrific actions were justified. Using first-hand accounts and previously unseen archival footage, Inside the SS: A Force of Fanatics provides a rare glimpse into the lives of the men of the SS.
