Meta-Wiki has a small active community. When a normal user requires the assistance of an administrator or bureaucrat for some particular task, it is not always easy to find one. This page helps users find one when they need one; asking specific admins directly via their talk pages is one way to elicit a fast response. It is only for assistance required at Meta-Wiki, help for other wikis needs to be requested at those wikis.

Report concerning User:Taylorbot

Taylorbot (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • GUC • CA)Reasons: Both accounts involved eo:wikt:User:Taylorbot, eo:wikt:User:Taylor 49. The bot operation log, User Log - these two actions are interlinked. In the German section of the project, information on dialects has been destroyed. All articles where the template "Dialektaĵoj (germana)" was used are affected. The information has not been moved to another section of the article, not marked as a comment in order to exclude the display of information and to be able to process the information in the future. Local discussion started here . In the decision on the previous case was written on behalf of the administrator "I have asked for the bot operator to review that work", but none of the forged messages have been recovered so far. Va (🖋️) 10:27, 30 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

What exactly are you asking for here on meta? The account is not a bot here and their only edits are Special:Contributions/Taylorbot setting up their user pages and one talk page message. This seems like something for local admins --DannyS712 (talk) 10:25, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I ask rollback these edits and revoke bot access until to bot owner explanations.
Sorry, obviously I was wrong with the placement. I will move the request to Steward requests/Miscellaneous.
According to this decision you are administrators and no other or "local" administrators exist.
I added information about the discussion started locally to fulfill the norm that even if the project is administered by Meta, then a copy of the problem report should be announced locally.
Thanks, Va (🖋️) 15:09, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sock report

Other admins, please review Special:Diff/22510835 vs. Special:AbuseLog/1537545 - looks like a duck to me but not sure if there is a history that warrants a CU request, if it should just be sock block and master warned, or both blocked, or also locked (or lock requested) as advertising only. Haven't been around much recently, and I could be considered to have an w:WP:INVOLVED conflict, so would prefer someone else take a look --DannyS712 (talk) 10:37, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

@DannyS712: I agree with the DUCK analysis by just looking at the edits from the abuse log. The accounts Layboardcom, Layboardsite, Vladimir Korotov and Denis Grachov are obviously related (again, no CU done). I'd block them all. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 11:28, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I hadn't seen those accounts - would you mind blocking them yourself, given my partial involvement? DannyS712 (talk) 23:58, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Guxiangli_Tongguan

I would like to report a strange-behavior user, Guxiangli Tongguan. It was created 2 months ago, and except requesting for GIPBE (no response to steward's question), all their edits on meta were adding {{s}} with no reason given at GR/GS request. Although GR/GS request is not vote, I still think this user's behavior is really abnormal, probably they is someone's puppet. Stang 14:31, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I agree with the user, such as something. Attaching Support Support (support) is my consent. Thank you and understand. Yes.--Guxiangli Tongguan (talk) 07:30, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Guxiangli TongguanReply

I also read through global roll backs and sysops. I do research their contributions to see if they are worthy or not. If yes, then assign Support Support. If something is wrong, please correct me.--Guxiangli Tongguan (talk) 07:34, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Guxiangli TongguanReply
Per the previous RFH report, there is unfortunately nothing we can do here on meta. This needs commons intervention and I will be happy to follow up here if needed. Not done. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 08:53, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hard censor libel and doxing towards me on svwp

These edits on December 31 2021 at my user discussion page, made by an IP-adress from 03:03 until 03:40 local contains doxing of me, my mother, adress and libel, claiming me to be a r*pist and a bunch of other disgusting things. They have already been soft censored by svwp sysops but I would like a steward to hard censor them (so that even sysops can't see them) due to the extreme nature of the harassment. Please help me out here. EstrellaSuecia (talk) 14:44, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Martin Urbanec (talk · contribs)? You've helped me out before with issues like this. EstrellaSuecia (talk) 14:50, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@EstrellaSuecia: it is recommended to not post Oversight requests publicly. You could email the request to the stewards privately (or ping them on IRC). I have now informed the stews of the request on IRC. --Daniuu (talk) 14:52, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Daniuu: I'm sorry, I know that. I'm just desperate.   EstrellaSuecia (talk) 14:56, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Done @EstrellaSuecia: Should be now hidden from public/admin view (viewable only by NDA'ed people). I second User:Daniuu's comment about not requesting oversight publicly. Noticeboards are generally watched by a lot of people, and requesting oversight action publicly makes a lot of people notice it, potentially invoking en:Streisand effect. FYI, this page is watchlisted by nearly a thousand of people. There's almost always a steward available in #wikimedia-stewards at IRC, and going there is the most effective way to request OS. Feel free to PM/email me directly if you have any questions about the procedure, or in case I missed any revisions. Best, --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:17, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Martin. It's a huge weight off my shoulders. I also redacted the rest of my sentence, since the last few words didn't make sense without context. Happy new years! EstrellaSuecia (talk) 15:21, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
