The USS Sebrova (NCC-1309) was a 23rd century Federation starship, a Shepard-class battlecruiser in Starfleet service in the 2250s decade. Its commanding officer was Captain Thy'kir Shran. (STO - Age of Discovery mission: "Trial by Fire")
Service history and disposition[]
Ships of the Shepard class were launched in the 23rd century. The USS Gagarin, which also shared the NCC-1309 registry number, was active at that time. (DSC Collection Issue 2: "USS Kerala NCC-1255")
Captain Shran was great-grandson of the legendary war hero Thy'lek Shran. (STO - Age of Discovery short story: "The Will to Fight")
Following the start of the Federation-Klingon War of 2256-2257, the Sebrova was one of many science vessels and exploratory starships hastily refitted for war-service.
In the year 2256, the Sebrova arrived to aid the USS Malachowski, which had lost its captain and was on a cadet training cruise, against J'Ula and her ship, the IKS Lukara. With J'Ula driven off, Captain Shran ordered the cadet in command of the Malachowski to aid in the search for the USS Ticonderoga. (STO - Age of Discovery mission: "Trial by Fire")
The two ships found the Ticonderoga in the Arucanis Arm, just before it came under attack from more Klingon forces. When they moved on, Shran ordered the Malachowski to travel ahead and warn Corvan II of an incoming Klingon attack, while the Sebrova stayed behind to defend the now-damaged Ticonderoga. A burning wreck.
In 2257, the Sebrova rushed to assist the Ticonderoga and the Malachowski in defending Starbase 1 in the Sol star system. The House Mo'Kai and House of D'Ghor forces overwhelmed the ships. J'Ula unleashed her mycelial weapon, accidentally pulling the Lukara, Mo'Kai forces and the Malachowski into the 25th century. (STO - Age of Discovery mission: "Downfall")
The incoming D'Ghor forces conquered Starbase 1, leaving the debris of battle, including the recognisable hull of the Shepard-class ship, drifting nearby. (DSC episode: "The War Without, the War Within")
