This article is about the 23rd century KDF officer. You may be looking for Torg, son of Kormog.

Torg was a male Klingon who lived during the 23rd century and served in the Klingon Defense Force.

History[]

Torg served as a Junior Weapons Officer on the Klingon battle cruiser IKS D'k Tahg in 2266. He served under Karel. When Torg attempted to replace Karel during a combat drill, Karel broke his hand. (TOS - Errand of Vengeance novel: The Edge of the Sword)

Torg DC Comics

Torg in 2285

In 2285, Torg was serving on a B'rel-class bird-of-prey commanded by Kruge, as the ship's first officer. Upon learning of the existence of the Genesis Device and the planet recently created by the device, Kruge took his ship to the planet. After destroying the USS Grissom and taking David Marcus, Saavik, and the regenerated but mindless body of Spock hostage the Klingons next encountered the USS Enterprise, which had come to retrieve Spock.

The Klingons were able to disable the Enterprise and killed David Marcus, Torg led a boarding party on board the Enterprise. What he and the remainder of the party did not know was that Kirk had activated the auto-destruct device. He arrived on the bridge as the countdown neared completion, and was killed along with the rest of the boarding party when the bridge dome exploded. (TOS movie, novelization & comic adaptation: The Search for Spock)

The Klingons had made a recording of Torg's last moments. After being captured by Kirk and his crew, Maltz was able to transmit the recording back to the Klingon Empire. Ambassador Kamarag showed the images to the Federation Council while demanding the extradition of then Admiral Kirk to the Klingon Empire. (TOS movie, novelization & comic adaptation: The Voyage Home)
