Thimon was an Andorian thaan or chan, a Starfleet officer in 2285 assigned to the USS Excelsior under his friend, Admiral James T. Kirk. He then retired to Earth.
Biography[]
In 2285, Thimon was in charge of the survey team of an uncharted planet. However, Thimon and his landing party came under attack by the planet's inhabitants. He was rescued from the inhabitants by Ensign Konom. He put William Bearclaw up for a commendation, but withdrew it when Lieutenant Jed pressed charges against Bearclaw. Following that mission, Thimon bid farewell to Admiral Kirk. Thimon told him that he would spending time with niece's family in Chicago and do a little hunting there. Thimon then told Kirk that Ensign Bearclaw has great potential but his hatred would prevent it. Thimon was asked to meet with Bearclaw's grandfather to be his hunting guide. Thimon was then transported to the USS Sturgeon to ferry him to Earth. (TOS comic: "Maggie's World!")
