Background[]
Some vessels in the game are shown to be commanded normally by lieutenant commanders and commanders, meaning that this character might sometimes have been intended to be portrayed at those ranks, even though a full post captain's rank insignia is shown here for the purposes of this wiki. In cases where large capital vessels and flagships are employed, it is also plausible that the CO referred to as "captain" is actually a commodore or admiral. These changes in rank are likely considering the long term of service between the first three games set in the TOS era and the later game set after TNG
Captain Sorbok could be encountered in the TOS-era SFC game series in command of a number of vessels depending on the random association of personnel names to ships in play:
No history or fate is established for this character in licensed Star Trek, in which the name was randomly assigned by the SFC game software. Given the theme of the game material, this could have been meant to be a Vulcan character.
