A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! At present the expanded Trek universe is in a period of major upheaval with the continuations of Discovery and Prodigy, the advent of new eras in gaming with the Star Trek Adventures RPG, Star Trek: Infinite and Star Trek Online, as well as other post-57th Anniversary publications such as the ongoing IDW Star Trek comic and spin-off Star Trek: Defiant. Therefore, please be courteous to other users who may not be aware of current developments by using the {{spoiler}}, {{spoilers}} OR {{majorspoiler}} tags when adding new information from sources less than six months old (even if it is minor info). The Prometheus system is a star system consisting of a binary star and at least four planets located in an unexplored sector near the Great Rift in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants.

Specifics[]

Its primary is a K class orange star. The secondary looks like a green star when viewed from its only inhabited world, the class M planet Prometheus IV. This planet was populated by a few hundred Julga.

History[]

In 2268, during the Federation's first exploration of the sector, the starship USS Enterprise was heavily damaged by a Vas Hatham-class Romulan bird-of-prey and spent nine days undergoing repairs in the system. (TOS video game: The Promethean Prophecy)
