Longey was a Human man, a Starfleet technician assigned to the engineering department of the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.
In 2267, Longey and Davis retrieved a phaser bore out of a storage bay and brought it to the transporter room to beam down to Captain James T. Kirk, who was on the Amusement Park Planet.
