Ilan Ramon was a Starfleet officer during the Dominion War.
In 2375, Ramon was stationed aboard the USS Columbia when it was stuck in the powerless Starbase 1 after the Breen attack. He was in control of the phasers that cut the spacedock doors, freeing the Columbia. (ST - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "Eleven Hours Out")

- Ramon was presumably named after Israeli astronaut Ilan RamonWP, who died aboard the space shuttle ColumbiaWP in 2003, and for whom the USS Ilan Ramon was named.
