Grosz

Grosz is a Capellan alcoholic drink.

In 2376, Elias Vaughn had Quark obtain a bottle of grosz for Vaughn and Leonard James Akaar to drink. Admiral Akaar was delighted as it had been several years since he had last had it. (DS9 - Mission Gamma novel: Twilight)

Akaar introduced Kira Nerys to grosz soon after. Later in 2376, Kira brought a bottle to a gathering at Benjamin Sisko's house on Bajor. Sisko himself tried some, describing it as being like "molten latinum", although he also commented that the taste grew on him after a while. (DS9 - Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens)

In 2383, Sisko considered visiting Quark's to have a glass of grosz and listen to Morn tell a story. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Plagues of Night)
