The system's fifth planet, Dorvan V, was the site of a human colony founded in 2350. (TNG episode: "Journey's End")
The disposition of the Dorvan system following the Dominion War was to be a topic of discussion during the diplomatic conference on Khitomer in 2376. The Dorvan system was also the heading taken by Colonel Kira Nerys while under the mental influence of Malkus the Mighty, in searching for a damaged fragment of one of the Malkus Artifacts.
