- This episode shares several plot similarities with a two-part storyline published the previous year (1994) in Malibu Comics's monthly Star Trek: Deep Space Nine comic book series ("Dax's Comet, Part 1" and "Part 2"), which also dealt with an impending cometary collision with the Bajoran wormhole, and religious prophecy causing turmoil on the station.
