Michel Horvat wrote the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "The Host". He was interviewed by Bill Florence for the article "Michel Horvat: Medic for "The Host"" in the The Official Star Trek: The Next Generation Magazine issue 22, pp. 12-15 in April 1993.
In 2005 he worked as editor, cinematographer, producer, and director on the documentary We Are Dad about a gay couple who became foster parents for HIV positive infants. In 2006 this documentary was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award in the category Outstanding Documentary.
Horvat is a practicing marriage and family therapist in Los Angeles, California. He graduated with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Antioch University in Los Angeles in 2011. [1]
