B-24-CLN was a Federation starship decommissioned by 2368.
History[]
By 2368, the B-24-CLN had been assigned to the Surplus Depot Z15 in orbit of Qualor II in Sector 213. The facility was responsible for storing the hulls and salvaging useful components from such decommissioned vessels.
During that year, the USS Enterprise-D flew past the ship during a visit at the Depot. (TNG: "Unification I")
Design[]
The ship had a typical Federation starship hull structure, comprised of a saucer section primary hull, and a triangular aft secondary hull, with two connected warp nacelles. The aft end of the triangular secondary hull featured the ship's shuttlebay. (TNG: "Unification I")
This ship shares the same design with the mid-23rd century Federation Crossfield-class, with slight differentiation in the nacelles and pylons. (DIS: "Context Is for Kings", et al)
A similar ship design was also utilized by the Federation during the 2280s. (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock)

Background information[]
The model used for B-24-CLN was one of the refit USS Enterprise concepts designed by Ken Adam and Ralph McQuarrie for Star Trek: Planet of the Titans. Although the designations were not legible on screen in "Unification I", they appear on the study model, which first appeared in The Art of Star Trek (p. 56).
It is unclear what the registry or designation of this ship was intended to be. The top aft of the primary hall bore the registry "β-24-CLN". The nacelle pylons both prominently feature the number 4. The port nacelle features "4-CLN" and the starboard nacelle "444" on their respective outsides, whereas the latter also features the word "International" on its inboard side. The model was sold as Lot #12(X) in an August 2010 Propworx auction with a US$1,000-2,000 estimate, selling for US$3,500. The now defunct website of the auction did feature photos of the ship from various angles. The model went up at auction again in May 2018, but did not sell at an asking price of $40,000 [1].
