Events[]
- The deep space probe Friendship 1 is launched from Earth. (VOY: "Friendship One")
- The Great Awakening on Argelius II takes place, turning its population from a violent to a placid society. (TOS: "Wolf in the Fold")
- Astronomer John Burke maps an area of space, including Sherman's Planet. (ENT: "In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II")
Note[]
- The launch of Friendship 1 by the UESPA in this year also marks the earliest canonical mention of the term "United Earth" within the Star Trek timeline.
- In 2267, Kirk states that the last time Khan was awake at 200 years before 2267. "KIRK: How long have you been sleeping? Two centuries we estimate. Landing party to Enterprise. Come in.","KIRK: Yes, I understand. You have two hundred years of catching up to do.", "KHAN: I remember a voice. Did I hear it say I had been sleeping for two centuries?"(ST: "Space Seed") Khan says similar comments 14-15 years later as well. "KHAN: Save your strength, Captain, these people have sworn to live and die at my command two hundred years before you were born. Do you mean he...", "KHAN: On earth, two hundred years ago, I was a prince, with power over millions…" (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan) These references should have been "300" years before 2267. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan also makes a similar mistake as its inspired by the quotes from TOS: "Space Seed", but if taken literally would have had him ruling the earth back in 2085. DS9 makes the same mistake again (to the 200 year quotes), which would have placed the Eugenics Wars in the 22nd century (2173) if taken literally. (DS9: "Doctor Bashir, I Presume").
