Replaceable fair use File:Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.png

Thanks for uploading File:Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:58, 10 November 2015 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:IperEspresso.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:IperEspresso.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:20, 11 November 2015 (UTC)

I have a question. Why does the TAFI of the week article appear on some of the TAFI members talk pages but not on others? Is it not to be sent to all members? Probable G4 speedy

Hiya, NA1000. I've got a G4 speedy candidate here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Polina Vinogradova (2nd nomination). Can you take a look? Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 00:08, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

@Dirtlawyer1: I compared the deleted version to the current version of the article, and the present article differs to an extent that I don't feel it qualifies for WP:G4. The present article has a great deal of content that was not present in the deleted version, and they're worded and organized differently. North America1000 05:47, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
Okay, NA. Thanks for looking at it. Given that the issue is still notability, it's likely to get whacked after going through AfD again. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 12:47, 3 November 2015 (UTC)
@Dirtlawyer1: Per the above, you may want to consider modifying your !vote at the AfD discussion. As presently worded, it states that the article is WP:G4 eligible, but it actually isn't. North America1000 11:25, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
As a non-admin, I can't see what you are able to review in the previously deleted version, but I will take your word for it. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 12:09, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

I now noticed you meant to notify me but I thought I made it clear why I Ping those users, they are familiar with those subjects and comment at those subject AfDs. Also, I said interested because two of them had previously edited the article. I think we both know AfD experiences user shortages so to combat "no consensus", I notify any users who can give useful input.SwisterTwister talk 01:56, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Hm?

YO! What the heck
are you doing. If you don't sign I withdraw the blasted nomination. Hafspajen (talk) 14:49, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Extended discussion
I think we had some misunderstanding. We were discussion works by Pieter Aertsen, (e.g. File:A Meat Stall with the Holy Family Giving Alms - Pieter Aertsen - Google Cultural Institute.jpg) and then in the discussion we had you changed the subject to Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/File:Peter Paul Rubens - Abundance (Abundantia) - Google Art Project.jpg, but I had never considered this one. Then you added my name as a co-nominator, but I never agreed to co-nominate this one. In the discussion, I was actually opposed. Sorry, but let's just start over. North America1000 15:19, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
You stated at the nomination that it wasn't your idea, but per the discussion we had, it was entirely your idea, and you created the nomination page. I'm a bit confused by your logic at the nomination page; it's the opposite of matters as they actually occurred. North America1000 15:23, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Also, co-nominators do not appear to be required. If you want it to be considered for FP, why do you need me to co-nom? North America1000 15:26, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
  • Sigh, now. You said "I rather like this one..." And a link to that thing. So YOU showed me that pic, and I saw immediately the potential. A Meat Stall with the Holy Family is already nominated... one can't nominate that one, Crisco nominated that already. The woman with the veggies was gorgeous, but her head was cut of, the only pic that would have made it, by all standards was the Rubens, you gave me the link for. So I nominated it... And now I stand in a corner for it .... uhuhuuh (cry) Why can't you just agree, like - retroactively? Hafspajen (talk) 15:26, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
I think you misunderstood. Look closely at the discussion; I didn't provide any links to images, but I added File:Pieter Aertsen - Market Scene - Google Art Project.jpg on the page, which I was referring to, stating "It's like a cornucopia, but without the large horn-shaped container...". North America1000 15:30, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
This one
Now I see, you thought I was referring to the image atop the cornucopia article. North America1000 15:32, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
You just need to sign... I never take other people's ideas. Not even by mistake. Hafspajen (talk) 15:37, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
  • (edit conflict) The thing is, I'm not sure about this one as a FP, so I abstained. However, several others are for it. If I were to co-nom at this point, it wouldn't be 100% authentic on my part, because, again, I'm not entirely convinced. Also, I don't "need" to sign it; a co-nominator appears to be optional, rather than mandatory. If I were you, I'd just let it run, unless you're also not 100% for it as a FP. North America1000 15:40, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
  • Perhaps you should withdraw, then. I'm really sorry about our misunderstanding, and in the future, I'll be sure to be absolutely crystal clear. It all stemmed from when I stated that the Market Scene image was similar to a cornucopia, but without the cornucopia. North America1000 15:42, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm very sorry, but as stated above, I'm not 100% for it. It sounds like you are, though. You won't be taking my idea whatsoever, because this was never my idea, it was entirely your idea! As such, you should just let the discussion run. North America1000 15:47, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Then two pink eyes shone, and the head of the awakened gug sentry, large as a barrel, wabbled into view. The eyes jutted two inches from each side, . Hafspajen (talk) 15:55, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
OOPS, - sorry - I was wrong. The meat stall is not a FP on Wiki, only on Commons. It is in Crisco 1492 cue I saw that. Among the pics he wanted to nominate. It is good curtesy to ask though, or Chris, maybe you want to co nom with our lovely editor and food-admin Northamerica1000? North is convinced that that pic is featured picture stuff!! . And it is indeed. Hafspajen (talk) 15:15, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Potential FP candidates

A Meat Stall with the Holy Family Giving Alms

A sure winner, as it is. It needs an article, preferably. If you want to write one it's even better. It is in Crisco 1492 cue I among the pics he wanted to nominate, so it is good curtesy to ask - Chris, maybe you want to co nom with our lovely editor and food-admin Northamerica1000? .Hafspajen (talk) 16:21, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Market Scene

  • Market Scene below also has potential as a WP:FP, but it's not presently used in an article.

North America1000 15:48, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

I still say, the woman's head that is cut of will cause issues. But if you are convinced of it you might try anyway... Hafspajen (talk) 16:21, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
I like the bright, vivid and crisp coloration in Market Scene, how it jumps off the screen with vivid detail, in a realistic manner. North America1000 16:31, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it is wonderful. Just go ahead and nominate it, you have nothing to loose... except it must be used in an article.... gosh, looks like it is not used at all. Hafspajen (talk) 16:43, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
At the very right in Market Scene, I wonder what that the object hanging from the roof beam is supposed to be and/or signify. It looks like gravestones that are wrapped for delivery. Maybe it's cheese, or flatbread, but it sure looks like wrapped gravestones. North America1000 16:45, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
Roof bean object? Maybe a butter-form? No, wait, that's a stone. A weight to help pull the bucket from the well. About the necessity of an article: check here: Wikipedia:Featured picture criteria.Hafspajen (talk) 17:02, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
Regarding the possibility of cropping in the image (person's head being cropped atop), this may not be true. this page from Google Cultural Institute has the same image, which appears to be sourced from Hallwyl Museum. It appears that the artist painted it this way. North America1000 11:17, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
OOPs, it is. The guy has to many market scenes. Though, it is possible this is a fragment too. Hafspajen (talk) 14:03, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Delsort Companies

Hi, thanks for making people aware about this delsort category. I have one query, You can see at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Companies that all closed discussions are still there in that thread. AnomieBOT archives closed discussions from other delsort threads but that bot don't archive discussions from this catogory. Do you know the reason? Can you fix the problem? Thank you. --Human3015TALK  19:09, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

@Human3015: I created Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Companies/archive yesterday, and AnomieBOT is properly automatically archiving entries at this time (example diff). Thanks for creating the new delsort page/category. North America1000 10:26, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Noelle Bush

Hi. Hate to bug you, but I nominated the above page to AfD, after a redirect of a stub page was reverted by the IP editor who created it. However, I received an error message during the process, but now there is an AfD tag on the article, but it points to this old AfD from 2007. Help. Thanks. Onel5969 TT me 01:41, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Looks like this would be the (3rd nomination) for this subject. --Finngall talk 02:29, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
@Onel5969: It does not appear that an actual AfD page was created with your rationale, etc. The last edit to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Noelle Bush was in February 2008 (diff). Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Noelle Bush (second nomination) is closed, and is from 2007, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Noelle Bush (3rd nomination) presently does not exist. If you'd like, you can provide me with your deletion rationale and I can perform the steps for you as a procedural nomination. North America1000 10:21, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi. When I attempted to create the AfD, nothing came up alerting me that there had been others. And yes, please create an AfD; my rational is that this particular child has no notability outside of her inherited notability through her father. Even though she has garnered some press, that press is all due to her relationship with her father. Notability is not inherited. And thanks for your help. Can't figure out what went wrong. Onel5969 TT me 12:28, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
@Onel5969:  Done. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Noelle Bush (3rd nomination). North America1000 13:31, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Allegra Versace

Please take a look at the Allegra Versace articles talk page. Some criticism of my apparent nomination of this article has appeared. I think that if we have approved an article, we can not come at the end of a TAFI week and criticize that choice. And the notion that the article can not be expanded seems speculative as there could come a user tomorrow with knowledge about her that wants to expand the article even further. The article has been expanded from its original size quite a lot actually. Anyway, they are also planning to remove already approved noms apparently. I dont know but unless they are redirects an approved article by three established users should be indication that an article is TAFI material.--BabbaQ (talk) 09:10, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

@BabbaQ: I checked out Talk:Allegra Versace, and I'm not sure what to say, other than matters primarily about the TAFI project are likely better discussed at WT:TAFI rather than on article talk pages. It was approved for collaboration, and there's a process at WT:TAFI where selected nominations can be changed per an !voting process, some of which had occurred here. North America1000 11:44, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Yes, they can sure think what they want. But what concerns me is that they are discussing removing articles from the list of already approved articles without any discussion. As long as that does not happen I am all for discussions etc :)--BabbaQ (talk) 12:46, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
As per this discussion I dont think it is appropriate to do that discussion at this weeks TAFI articles talk page. But at a new more neutral new discussion. Allegra Versaces article has been improved and edited a lot this week so his personal opinion about it being a boring subject seems quite irrelevant at this point.--BabbaQ (talk) 12:49, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
@BabbaQ: Well, the collaboration on the article will be over in a couple of days at this point anyway, so that's ultimately where it's at. North America1000 16:27, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
Yes, and I think the worst "storm" is over now. --BabbaQ (talk) 16:28, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

We did good collaborative work on this article. Whether it was 'worthy' is a different issue. Personally, I don't care about her or her business; but she is important enough to merit an encyclopedia article. But that is all beside the point. What is done is done.
IMO, TAFI should remain centralized and its decisions not overturned unless there is discussion there and consensus. 7&6=thirteen () 16:32, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Re copyvio history for How to Host a Murder

Re this AFD, would it be possible to delete the edit history of the article from this point (when the first chunk of copy-paste copyvio appears) up to this point (when the last massive chunk of copyvio was removed). Mabalu (talk) 11:03, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

@Mabalu: The short answer is no, because this type of blanket removal of all versions would also remove non-infringing contributions and their attribution (see WP:CRD, point #1). I checked out some versions within the time period you provided above, but they're not all copyright violations. However, contributions that consist exclusively of copyright violations can be selectively revdeleted. Per the significant revision history for the article, this is a complex matter because it will involve significant research, in terms of pinpointing such types of edits that can be revdeleted. I recommend posting a notice about this matter at Wikipedia:Copyright problems, where this matter can receive more attention. North America1000 12:26, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
@Mabalu: I have revdeleted a few of the entries at How to Host a Murder that consisted solely of copyvios. Thank you for your post at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2015 November 9. North America1000 13:54, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
FYI: Best practice is that all revisions that contain copyvios may be revdeled if the copyvio is substantial (as in this case) or likely to be reinserted. The required attribution is just a list of authors, not who added what. MER-C 21:18, 18 November 2015 (UTC)
