Silk | Kasha's hurt more people than just you, Saya. No offense to your earring drones, but I'm the one with Spider Strength and all that. |
Saya Ishii | The thing is, she hasn't hurt you. So you need to stop this self-sacrificing macho bit. As much as I find it attractive, it's unnecessary. |

Synopsis for 1st story
Upon Cindy's finding Saya Ishii in her bedroom, Saya cuts the banter to explain Kasha going rogue to resurrect her demon god master with the dead gang members as sacrifices. So, Saya found Cindy from the tracking device in the earpiece and needs her help to stop Kasha. Cindy agrees to help as she wants to expose Saya's corruption later, but also asks Albert's help as Spider-Man and Mockingbird were unavailable. With Lola's credentials, Cindy, Albert and Saya get into a research lab for the United World Defense Council, to build tech needed to stop Kasha; much to Lola's chagrin.
A few hours later, Cindy and Saya debate on who goes first into Kasha's lair, as Saya psychoanalyses Cindy's need for protecting others before herself- forgetting that Lola and Albert were monitoring them from a situation room. In compromise, they agree to enter together while Lola and Albert remote pilot drones as backup. When Silk attacks Kasha to stop her ceremony, Saya moves in to handle her demon god master. When Kasha is ready to overwhelm Silk, Saya uses high pitched frequencies to debilitate Kasha for Silk to get back up. Silk moves to defeat the demon god while Saya fights Kasha, but instead directs a drone into the demon cat's ear and detonates it in her head. Disgusted by the kill, Silk berates Saya for misusing her talents, while Saya counters that she was shaped differently and that the world is a cycle of power always changing hands; with hers being being as good as any.
Exiting the lair, Silk refuses to allow her departure but Saya hired the gangs that survived to delay her escape. As Silk finishes taking down the gangsters, Max arrives and Saya confirms him to be her sibling to a crestfallen Silk. To add insult to injury, Saya leaves her scarf behind inscribed with the message "We'll always have the cave." Returning to TNM, Cindy is writing up her story when Jonah surprises her, and she tells him the story on Silk and Saya. Dressed as Silk, Cindy web swings to clear her head while heading to a bar to meet Albert and Lola. Clearing her head, Cindy refuses to allow the events with Saya and Max set her back, as allowing it would be like being in the bunker all over again. Cindy is happy for the people in her life she does trust, and how it's much better for her in the open world.
