The monster sees her car in front of the station and breaks her out of jail. When he is momentarily distracted, she flees from him into a carnival. She gets on the roller coaster but he climbs up after her. When he misses in his attempt to grab her, she hides in the Tunnel of Terror, and he follows her in. Inside the tunnel, the growth serum wears off and he returns to his regular appearance. She assumes that he destroyed the monster and is grateful. He burns his notes afterward.

The monster is slow, but continues to pursue them over the course of two days when they find that they only have enough pills for one of them to survive the third day. The man tosses the pills to the robot and runs towards the monster to sacrifice himself. Suddenly, the rescue ship appears one day early, and the robot rushes the creature determined not to let the man perish when rescue is at hand.
