Jandra was a young Shi'ar girl who was placed into protective custody when she witnessed a murder at the hands of a high ranking Shi'ar officer on their homeworld. With the aid of the Starjammers, she fled to Earth when Commander Raknar, a corrupt Shi'ar admiral, found her location and attempted to kill her. They sought the aid of the X-Men who helped defeat Raknar who was placed under arrest.[1]
