Hydrographia
Hydrographia (Graece ὕδωρ 'aqua' + γράφω 'scribo') est scientia adhibita quae mensuras descriptionesque proprietatum physicarum oceanorum, marium, regionum litoralium, lacuum, et fluminum tractat, eorum mutationes per tempus usitate praedicens, ad navigationem adiuvans aliasque actiones marinas sustinens, inter quas incrementum oeconomicum, salus defensioque militaris, investigatio scientifica, et tutela circumiectorum naturalium.[1]
