The Parry Counter (受け返しカウンター, Uke-gaeshi Kauntā) is a counter used after parrying the opponent's punch.
Ippo used the technique for the first time during his spar with Alexander Volg Zangief. It was developed while training Taihei Aoki and Kintarō Kaneda by catching the mitts for them and parrying their punches.
Usage[]
After an opponent throws a jab or straight and it hits the user's guard, the user parries the attack by sliding the back of their fist that blocked the attack up to the middle of the opponent's arm, then launches a punch to the opponent's head.
