Naniwa Boxing Club (なにわ拳闘会, Naniwa Kentō-kai) is a sports club located in Osaka, Japan. It is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and is closed on Sundays.[1]
History[]
Naniwa Coach is the head coach for the gym. The trainer, Kazuhiro Yanaoka found Takeshi Sendō, who earned the gym a JBC featherweight belt until he lost it to Ippo Makunouchi. Hiroyuki Hoshi joined the gym in admiration of Sendō after the latter stood standing against his Seiken in a spar. Hoshi then went on to become a highly ranked JBC featherweight had a title match attempt. Sendō climbed up high in the world ranks with a shot at the WBA featherweight title match against the undefeated super champion Ricardo Martínez.
