Summary

Ippo spars with Itagaki and Aoki for his upcoming match. Takamura is visibly struggling with his weight management, but Aoki and Kimura points out that it will get harder from here as Takamura is still far away from the junior middleweight limit. Kyōka brings Takamura fruit and soup, Takamura then states he will get his family tickets for the match, before Kyōka leaves, she hands Takamura dried shiitake. While Takamura does roadwork with Kamogawa, Takamura vows to defeat Hawk and anyone else he faces, as standing in the ring makes him feel alive and boxing is something he will never lie about. Kamogawa remembers the day he met Takamura and he believed that he could challenge the world and even got excited to find a perfect specimen that didn't need polishing. Then when Kamogawa saw Takamura's pro debut, he knew that Takamura could take boxing places he never dreamt of and believes Takamura is his treasure. When Kamogawa wishes that he could have Takamura fight in his best weight class, Takamura states that he will take the Junior Middleweight belt and move up a weight class until he conquers six weight classes, he will then give Kamogawa his first world belt. Kamogawa then gives Takamura dried shiitake as a gift. Takamura goes to the gym and receives multiple paper bags full of dried shiitake.
