Summary[]
With Takamura in the ring, everyone notices his failed weight management. Aoki, believing it is his fault after the sea slater incident, hopes Takamura wins. The TV Announcer then introduces the Philippine's middleweight champion Morris West. After Takamura wobbles over while talking to Kamogawa, the gong sounds for the first round. Takamura rushes towards West and repeatedly hits his guard. Takamura throws a right straight and then a left at West's face, however, it dealt minimal damage as Takamura's body is affected by the weight management. Takamura, realising his opponent now knows that he doesn't have his usual power, backs away and makes a gesture for West to come to him. West doesn't fall for Takamura's plan and stays still. Then, Takamura begins to get angry as he rushes in and throws punches that hit air. Round one ends with Takamura, who looks visibly exhausted.
