Summary[]
Juan's punch hits Mashiba's block. Ippo realises that the attack would have damaged Mashiba from the temple to his jaw if he used the Hitman Style, but since he used the orthodox upright stance, he was able to block easily. Juan notices that since Mashiba is staying far away, it makes his punches come one-by-one. As Mashiba uses footwork to get away, Juan goes to the centre of the ring and makes sudden movements to force Mashiba to go around the ring with his back against the ropes. Juan gets into his rhythm after catching Mashiba with a right to his guarded head, throwing lefts and rights at various angles to his guard while weaving side-to-side and mixing feints in.
